christmas letter 2009

Dear Family and Friends[J1] ,
We are entering one of the greatest seasons of the year. It is a joy to celebrate together the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.
January- We really didn’t have much happening I went to the Ladies luncheon at Church. It was really nice they had a good speaker. We had the BIMI missions conference: it is always nice to have the missionaries come and show us their fields.
February- was Our first Valentines Day as a married couple. I cooked a nice dinner for Jon and we had a good evening together. Our truck broke down in February and it would Cost more money then we had to fix it. So we prayed, and God answered our prayers and now we have a Plymouth Colt. It is a really nice car a 1992. We also sold our truck for 800 dollars to the guy who sold us the Colt. Isn’t God good?!?
March- our Sunday School class had It’s annual progressive dinner. It was nice of course, we both ate too much; there goes the pounds we had lost. Also in march my aunt and cousin and her 2 boys came out to see us on their way to my aunt’s house in Placentia. It was a great visit We really enjoyed seeing them just wished it was a longer visit.
April our Easter was a quiet one this year We enjoyed going to our church ‘s cantata a great service. We also went with Jon’s coworker and his wife to the San Diego Zoo It was a lot of fun. The Lord was directing us to buying our first house. We thought at first we were going to get Jon’s mom’s house, but that did not work out. So we began seriously looking around.
May-Our Church had its annual mother/daughter luncheon The theme was Bear all things’ It was really a nice time together for all the mothers and daughters. We put an offer in on a house we liked very much and hoped we could get it That house fell through, so we put in another offer on a house. Jon was working 10 hr days and weekends too so I felt like I hardly saw him. Our dear friends Brad and Lola from Oregon came to visit us at our bunkhouse.
June- - We celebrated our 1st year anniversary Sure didn’t seem like it had been a year. I helped in VBS at church. The Lord sure blessed us this year with a lot of helpers. We finally had a house in escrow It seems like you go up and down with trying to buy a house!
July- We moved into our new house! It is 1104 sq feet so we have a lot more room. It is real nice. We have some work that needs to be done with the house but that take time. Thank you for all who have been praying for us through this. God sure is good to us. Well, the minute we moved into our house it seemed like Jon started fixing things he put new door knobs on the screen doors, cause I could not get in with the old ones. Then he put lights in our bedroom which were badly needed Jon got laid off due to the nation’s economy. We enjoyed spending first year of married life in the Shorts’ bunkhouse where we were quite happy.
August Well, God provided work for Jon: some of the church people needed help, or jobs done; and God provided work. We had to paint the outside of the house. It looks much better now. We watched our friends’ dogs while they went on vacation.
Sept- Well we started serving another year with our church king’s kids Jon is the club secretary, and I help in the 1st through 3rd grade class, On Sept 12 we drove to Placentia go see my cousin. She just had a baby in July and we were so excited for her. It was a really nice time with them. On Sept 22 Jon was asked to come back to work: praise the Lord’ We have been wanting a dog, so on Sept 29 we went and got Rosco He is a miniature pincher, a very well behaved 10 week old puppy. Roy short guided Jon on some landscaping for our new home.
Oct—Our puppy was so sick he got parvo, so we took him to the vet and they gave him an IV and some shot and gave us some medications and I think the Lord spared his life So thank you all who Prayed Jon and I, and my dear friend Abby went to the Pumpkin Patch and Oak Glen for outing We had a fun time. Our church celebrated It’s 46th anniversary as a church It was a great day. Jon built a fence for our puppy it is so nice.
Nov- I turned 34 on November 10: I feel old. My husband spoiled me! We celebrated Thanksgiving with my Friend and her family we went to Idyllwild for dinner: it sure was beautiful up there. This year we have a lot to be thankful for a new house,and a healthy puppy. Rosco ran away on thanksgiving please pray he will return to us soon.
Had various friends over for dinner tried to do this once a month
Jon serves as the bookstore manger at our church, and I serve in the nursery once or twice a month.

our hearts are aching

Well we made a huge mistake on thanksgiving we left our little rosco in my best friends yard while we went to Idywild and he got out and has been gone 3 day seem like forever...please pray that he will return to my girlfriends or call us or call the pound or shelter...we miss him dearly...Hope you all had a good thankgiving...God has blessed us in so many ways..

I just Love this picture...we did this for our Christmas cards..This seems like the perfect picture. Well are doing well..We are so thankful for so many things this thanks giving..a new house to us,a dog that lived,our health,Jon's job good friends good church..we hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving...we have been busy fixing our house..last saturday our garbage disosal
thank goodness for home depot then the same day our tolilet decide to break so we had to get a new flusher...welcome to the life of owning your own home....

God is sure good to us we thought we would have lost rosco to parvo but God sure healed
him....and now he is acting like a real healthy puppy...running ,Jumping,bitting,chewing on
our shoes etc...

We Just wish he would master going to the bathroom outside the house....

Puppy Love

Well this our new puppy we named him rosco he is 10 weeks old he is such a baby...He follows me around all the time We love this puppy so much..... He started to throw up this morning Which I thought was kinda odd cause I felt it was not right so I had to take him to the vet this morning Here he is with my best friend abby...We found out the reason he was throwing up....was he has parvo...so he is at my friends house and she is giving him pedialite 2 times an hour and his medicine 3 times a day...tell we can get him through this hump in his little life...This is his 1st doctor visit..Please pray for him these next 8-9 days will be the most critical once he is passed that he should be fine...If you have dogs get them their vaccinate your dogs...The parvo shot needs to be done once a year..

This is the day we brought him home he had pravo then and the ladie did not even tell us he had it....But I beleive God sent us there to try to save his life please continue to pray for me and us...

I will keep u up to date on the his status...

The diaper bag

Well I thought I would share this with you....I made a diaper tote for one of my friends who is having a baby in november...This takes like 3 to 4 months to get it done.

We are doing well God is so good to us....

The Birds...

Well we got a bird bath,Bird feeder for Jon's Birthday the birds dont like the bigger bird bath much but we had a lot of birds yesterday.

Here is a close up of one bird eating on our feeder we were really excited to see that..

Here is Jon on his birthday being We had a little get together after Church Sunday night..God has been good to us He still has not found a job but we hear the windmills maybe hiring in sept and feel that would be more of a stable Job for him so please keep him in your prayers...

The Lord has been good to us allowing us to buy this house it is a work in process and last friday Jon got laid off just cause there is not enough work please pray he will find work soon we can do anything on the house until we have money ..thank you for your prayers enjoy the pictures.

Well we are now in our new home we are very excited that we were able to buy a house.We are seattling in good.Iam enjoying putting things away and helping Jon fix the house up we put 6 lights in our bedroom now we can see..Please pray Jon get work he was laid off from his Job yesterday.God could of laid him off while we were in escrow and thewn we would of lost everything.God will provide he aways does...

The House saga Continues......

Well we are like 3 days til escrow should close and we get an e-mail saying some is on the owner titel so we have to wait to sign all the paper work in 7-10 days cause they have to get a paper on the titel.Think this is bad i have most of the the house packed ready to go,So now we have to in boxes for at least 10 days .I want to tell everyone hey what do you think your doing do you know what we are having to go through.. but then I think well there must be a reason for all this I feel iam at the end of my ropes with all this we just want to move in!

Funny how things work out and it never happens when you want it to happen but we are just waiting it out longer we will soon be in a house that belongs to us..

The count down 8 days til escrow closes...

Well we have like 8 days til escrow closes and so Iam packing like a mad woman thinking at any moment something could happen where it falls through.So then we would unpack allthe boxes oh what fun! we pray that the seller will do all the repairs he needs to so escrow closes on time.Being in escrow is very stressful but once we are in it for good I think we both will relax....We took these pictures when we went to look at the house again.

We like it very much of course it needs work on it but Jon is very good at that.We praise the Lord for his goodness to us ,And That Jon still has a Job they laid everyone off but Jon and the foremen what tells us that his bosses like what Jon is doing Praise the Lord..

old dolls tea party..

Well we went to my mom"s friend Nympha"s tea party her daughter's throw her a party 3 times a year so she can see her friends she grew up with. it was a really nice time everything was serviced as a cupcakes. it was nice.Everyone had to wear hats that day



We are doing well packing cause we should be
moving into our new house by July 4th we are very excited about it.Please keep us in your prayers as we are going through escrow.

God is Good it not much to look at now but it will be someday we have looked at house for the last 3 months and they have been bank owned and the bank will raise the price up so much we can"t afford it it was frusterating at times but this house is a really nice one it 2 bedrooms 1 bath really roomey.Will have things to fix but not 2 bad..so please be praying that Jon will contuie to work and that everything will go through on escrow...

Life Goes on...

Well It has been a while since I have written Well Jon"s Mom"s House fell through she decided to stay and not move to texas.So then we thought we found the perfect house and put a bid in on it and the bank rasied it 7,000 more then what they we asking..So now we are back to plan a again..God has been So Good to us Jon has been working really hard and had a lot of overtime in which I hardly see him which is really hard on me But that is what life is.

Not much Going ong other then Buying a house..

A headache and Ice cream...

Well Monday I had a really spitting head ache Iam sure caused by stress...And it would not go away and Iam trying to train myself to not take pain releivier until it get unbarriable or beyond so my sweet husband went to the store and brought back a bottle of tylonal and a 1/2 gallon of ice cream what a sweet guy...

time...

Well It is about 20 days til we find out it we are getting a house in yucca we are praying for that.We are dont packing til we know forsure that we are getting it..I really can"t beleivie it is april this year sure has spun by me.. it seens like just yesterday jon and I got married how time flies..God is good in all things..Keep praying for the house ...We want God"s will above all in this situation..

A visit with family

Well this is last thanksgiving we spent it with our dear friends burdettes.

and the picture next to it is the last Sunday my aunt and cousin came out to visit it was a

great time to see each other.

God is good I look at this picture of Jon and I pray that we will always be so happy I hear about so many divorces and It scares me sometimes but God brought us together.

A sunday afternoon...

Well it is a lovely sunday afternoon and my aunt and cousin came to visit it was a real nice time to see them wish we had more time to visit it seems like we are always on the go or rushing when they visit last time it was my wedding shower and I really didn"t get to visit much but Iam not complaing I am greatful they wanted to stop and see us..

Can you image it has been 9 months since Our wedding somedays I wake up and think I have been dreaming all this.But other days Iam so happy to be able to be a wife. God is so good to me to have allowed me to have married such a man as Jon..

this and that.....

Well it has been a while since I posted anything it seems I get caught up in being a wife that I forget to updated this.Well our truck broke down it was the headers and it cost 3,000 dollors and we really didn't have that so we bought a cute little plymouth colt that runs better then the truck and gets great gas miles.Jon's mom may be moving to texas so we maybe taking over her house so please pray everything goes through and we get this house it is a 2 bedroom way much more room then what we have now .This picture was taken last may about a month before we were married.

life.

Well it has been a while since I have written

things have been kinda tough this past week our only truck has a valve that needs fixing and those things cost 1000 dollars or more and we had 2 other blows which I rather not say.But it seems like the Lord wants to teach us a lesson in this trial.We are very happily married.This picture was the last night of kings kids last year. we will have been married 8 months I could not image my life without him we will have ups and downs which every relationship does.Please pray for our trial we seem to be facing that we will be stronger because of it.

Happy new year everyone I hope that 2009 is a real great year for everyone.Jon and I will be married 7 months tomorrow it sure goes by fast. God has been so good to us through Jon being laid off for the first 6 months praise the Lord he gave Jon a job in the first part of December.
